Medicine and Care for the African Youth

medicine-and-care-for-the-african-youth

The youth are considered to be one of the vulnerable members of our society. They can be easily prone to diseases when they do not have access to any kind of medicine that will help them get better.

This is why our children’s charitable organization in Atlanta, Georgia advocates providing medical attention for up to five African kids brought annually to the United States. These kids suffer from treatable conditions with little or no access to medicine and medical attention. By bridging the world’s love and care in providing medical interventions to these African children, these little kids get a better chance of survival.

Among the health conditions we help provide interventions on include the following:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease

This is a condition wherein kidney functions become weak. Having damaged kidneys leads to a build-up of toxins in the body. When kidney failure sets in, a kidney transplant may have to be performed to replace the damaged kidney. But African children do not have access to this kind of medical support. Through your charitable donation in Georgia, we can send help and resources to alleviate their condition.

  • Childhood Cancers

Leukemia is a cancer of the bone marrow and is the most common of childhood cancers. Like other kinds of cancer, it can be fatal if left untreated. African children need more access to medical care that will guide them through these conditions. They get a better chance of survival when they get better medical attention.

  • Congenital Heart Defects

This is a heart defect that is present at a child’s birth. Congenital heart defect is considered as the most common defect upon birth. With this condition, the normal blood flow through the heart is disrupted. The consequences include slowed blood flow, blockage of the blood passage, or blood sent to the wrong direction. Congenital heart defects need highly technical equipment for accurate diagnosis and treatment, which African patients lack access to.

These are just three of the medical issues we’re helping to find interventions on at Save A Child International. With your donation, you can make this surviving chance increase. Your interest in helping out our organization can go a long way. Let little children in Africa know you care by supporting Save A Child International.
